KASHI | 2010
In the early months of 2010, I was awarded an artist's residency in India; a place I left as a young child and did not visit again growing up. For years prior, I had an ever-deepening longing to return to my country of origin and gain an understanding of my ancestry and culture---a knowledge that only comes from first hand exposure. These photographs were taken during the three months I travelled through the various regions and also from living as a local in Ft. Kochi, Kerala.
